Andrea is a stunning teacher who conveys an enormous passion for the music that is worked on. Not hesitant to sing, shout, stomp, dance or whatever necessary to deepen her students’ comprehension of the piece’s meaning and put that into their playing, she defies conventions that keep musicians from playing freely and enjoying it, yet most certainly doing so without ignoring the technical facility it takes to get there. To the contrary: she carefully instructs each individual player concerning this matter if they need it.
