I had the pleasure of learning from Andrea when I was working on Poulenc’s trio for piano, oboe and bassoon. She used our time very efficiently though without rushing through at any point, enabling me to develope steeply in terms of technique and tonal quality while also staying reassuringly patient.This left me way more comfortable behind the keys and within the ensemble during our following sessions and, combined with just the right instructions on how to continue practicing after the lesson, propelled me from struggling to fit in my part to being able to enjoy the musical experience together with the wind players and successfully perform the piece.
